Search Mode Selection: Minelab Equinox offers 3 to 4 search modes, depending on the model, optimized for different locations, and the entire series is equipped with simultaneous Multi-frequency Multi-IQ technology.
The models Equinox 600 and Equinox 700 feature the modes:
- Park: for operating in fields or any common grassy area.
- Field: to be used in particularly large spaces.
- Beach: for searches on the beach and shoreline.
The models Equinox 800 and Equinox 900 have the same modes as the two basic models, but with the addition of the Gold Field mode, to be used for gold nugget hunting.
Sensitivity and Frequency Adjustment: increase or decrease the sensitivity of your Minelab Equinox to adapt to the target sizes and ground conditions. The Minelab Equinox series can operate in simultaneous multi-frequency (Multi-IQ) or on single frequencies, which vary depending on the model:
- Equinox 600: Frequencies of 5, 10, and 15 kHz

Target Search: start sweeping the coil parallel to the ground avoiding the "pendulum" effect and moving steadily but slowly, keeping the coil low. The Minelab Equinox emits different tones depending on the nature of the target and tells you if it is worth starting to dig.
